Celebrate Local History & Cinema at the CO 150 Film Festival
Join us at the Silverton Powerhouse Collective this September for the CO 150 Film Festival—a three-night cinematic celebration showcasing films deeply tied to the rich history, folklore, and landscape of Silverton and Colorado.
Festival Lineup
Night 1: Friday, September 4th | Silverton Strange Kick off festival festivities with local filmmaker Julian Hood and the premiere of his new short series, "Silverton Strange." This captivating series explores the eerie lore and captivating legends surrounding Silverton’s historic, abandoned mines. Stick around for a Q&A discussion with Julian after the film.

Night 2: Wednesday, September 9th | A Ticket to Tomahawk The Night will start with a guest speaker and a short film, then step back into classic Hollywood with a screening of the 1950 musical western "A Ticket to Tomahawk." Filmed right here in Colorado, this film famously showcases our beloved narrow-gauge steam train line.

Night 3: Grand Finale | Denver & Rio Grande. We wrap up the festival with the 1952 action-packed classic "Denver & Rio Grande." Celebrating Colorado’s epic rail-building era, this feature highlights the heroic history and dramatic landscapes of the western frontier.

Andrea recently returned from a comedy club residency in New York City, and Andy is fresh off a high-energy, hour-long headlining set - both are ready to deliver 30 minutes of face-hurting laughter for you with some help from fellow Durango comics.
Come out for the fun, stay for the laughs, and come see what Durango's been cooking over in their creative scene!

Hardrock 100 Collaborative South Mineral Clean Up
Hardrock 100 Collaborative South Mineral Clean Up - Each year, San Juan Mountains Association teams up with Hardrock 100 to provide an opportunity to all folks, both runners and non-runners, to give back to the lands they love. Help us keep pace with keeping this S. Mineral Road beautiful! We’ll spend the day picking up litter and cleaning and naturalizing fire rings.
When: Tuesday, July 7, 2026, from 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
